Taking inspiration from Patti Smith’s memoir, Kristen Lee, the Creative Director and Head Buyer for the popular West Hollywood boutique TenOverSix, created a unique pair of cat eye frames for her partnership with Lookmatic. She wore them with a kelly-gree rubberized silk trench coat and no dout other amazing East Village secondhand wares. An inspiring outfit for an inspired trip! “I’m still seeking the trenchcoat” Kristen says. This unique cat eye is quite slender - reminiscent of the pair that Bridgitte Bardot wears in “Contempt”
TenOverSix Art & Design Director, Brady Cunningham, drew inspiration from a pair of frames her father had bought on a family trip to Italy in the mid-nineties. “They were black, round, heavy and quite out of character for him... I think it was a ‘when in Rome’ moment and I admired his bold selection.” Brady designed a much more comfortable, yet equally bold, style named Marlowe as an homage to her father and her childhood trip to Italy.
